About the Podcast

JK, It’s Magic formed when two ladies met at the library and discovered they had a bajillion things in common — particularly a profound love of reading. These two ladies then decided to take their love of all things bookish to the next level, and share that love with all of you by creating a space to talk about YA fantasy in a critical way. We hope that this podcast becomes a platform to discover new worlds, facilitate deeper engagement with our favorite books, and encourage others to take part in the journey.

I went more days that I didn't due to my job, but even when I wasn't working I went a lot to my local library, and visited new libraries when I was out of town. So, yeah, libraries are still VERY relevant

OK Twitter. Be real. How many of you actually went to a library in the last year?

@arithisandthat @ApplePodcasts @JKmagicpod , @MissedinHistory & @ASavagePod are as good and much better than some on this list. 3000/10 would recommend these over all of those listed.

After reading a number of fat, queer, sci-fi stories, it reminded me we need more of that in fiction.

Fat =/= Ugly
Fat =/= Broken
Fat =/= Lazy

Let the future come in all sizes.

Let the future be queer, disabled and full of color!
